AGL SoDeV's reference Xen multi-domain architecture has so far been validated on the Renesas R-Car V4H Sparrow Hawk board. This session walks through our port of the same dom0less, multi-domain (DomA/DomD/DomU) architecture to the Raspberry Pi 5, a commodity board.
We'll cover: (1) the virtio-gpu/virgl fixes needed to get a working display pipeline without the V4H's dedicated GPU assumptions, (2) a root-cause playbook for DomA boot failures we hit along the way (autostart defaults, boot-variable regressions, partition-label mismatches), and (3) what generalizes — and what doesn't — when moving AGL SoDeV's Xen architecture from automotive-grade silicon to commodity hardware.
