Wednesday September 30, 2026 09:30 - 09:45 CEST
JASPAR (Japan Automotive Software Platform and Architecture), a standardization organization in the Japanese automotive industry, has established a new working group called the API WG to promote software development efficiency and revitalize the industry. The API WG is not only working on API specification development but is also challenging the code implementation. In this presentation, we will provide insight into the activities and discuss future perspectives, including our recent publishment “Yoriito”.

Keynote: From Factories to Fleets: Industry 4.0 Lessons for the Software-Defined Vehicle - Ivan Dyachkov, CTO & Jaylin Yu, Solutions VP of Edge Computing, EMQ Technologies Inc.
Wednesday September 30, 2026 10:10 - 10:25 CEST
Manufacturing went through the transition automotive is in now, a decade earlier: protocol islands and point-to-point integrations that multiplied with every new consumer, while the data that mattered sat stranded at the edge. EMQ spent that decade building the MQTT backbone of Industry 4.0, and the last several years watching the same patterns reappear in vehicle programs. This keynote distills what transfers: why a unified semantic namespace beats bespoke pipelines, and what changes when the namespace starts moving; what constrained plant edges taught us about persistence and back-pressure, now being re-taught by IVI and gateway hardware; and how to live with the protocol reality vehicles have, where in-vehicle MQTT meets cloud gRPC, including the open-source bridge we built so fleets do not need two parallel stacks. We close with what we are contributing to the community, and where AGL could take it next.
